Bitcoin Genesis Block Was Mined 9 Years Ago
On January 3, 2009, at 18:15:05 an unknown person named Satoshi Nakamoto generated a bitcoin genesis block.
In the genesis block generated 50 bitcoins. Its hash consists text «The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks». The phrase has taken from the title of an article in the British newspaper The Times. The article was about how the UK Finance Minister Alistair Darling forced to consider new measures to save banks in the midst of an economic crisis.
